Looking for summer holiday activities for the family? 

Summer of Imagination is our summer holiday programme packed with hands-on science, creative workshops and drop-in experiences for all ages. All activities are included with your admission ticket unless otherwise stated. 

Your ticket lasts all day, meaning you can come and go as you please, popping out for ice creams and sunshine, and then back into the cool. 

Summer holiday activities

Fly through the rings of Saturn, explore illusions and magic tricks, find rainbows, make fruit sorbets – there’s so much to see and do. 

  • Investigation Station (Theatre of Curiosity):  Swing by the station for our daily challenge. Will you be imagining life as early man or exploring invisibility through magic tricks?
  • Summer Kitchen (The Kitchen): Experiment with food science as you make instant fruit sorbets and explore alternatives to traditional ingredients.
  • Shadow Factory (The Studio):  Play with light, colour and shadow as you create mosaics, experiment with shapes and bring your own shadow stories to life.
  • If schools were ours to imagine (Open City Lab): Explore with us and share your ideas for a fairer future by adding thoughts, designs and creative contributions to this evolving exhibition.
  • Storytelling (The Studio): Join Ursa and Leo for a sensory storytelling adventure filled with colour, imagination and opportunities to join in. Recommended for children under 7.

/ Your ticket is valid all day and you can come and go as you need. Just be sure to have your tickets ready to re-scan.
